[Part I - Dawn] As the sun begins to rise above the horizon A new soul descends to the Earth As the elder generation sails into the sky The world is blessed with yet another birth <Soprano> Awaken my child and you will feel A world that's filled with beauty Please my child just open your eyes Your new environment you will see The sights and sounds The world around me Flicker in my eyes The things I learn The pains and pleasures Echoed in my cries <Soprano> Sleep my child and rest yourself for the long road ahead Many dangers and perils await you We'll overcome the obstacles that will stand in your way Together, we will make it through [Part II - Day] I feel a change within me I wish to reach out and touch I desire that which cannot be attained Nothing will ever be too much Fighting my internal demons I am driven to excess Plagued by my anxiety Too many issues to address Losing control of my desires Self-destructive hedonist Within my heart lit several fires By the devil my heart is kissed A complete mental blitz It's time to clean up my act Yet no matter how hard I try By desire I am once again attacked [Part III - Dusk] Lying face down in the grass I feel a sullen breeze Encased within these walls of glass My heart begins to freeze I crawl to the side of the river I see my own reflection I drink deeply from Mother Nature's waters And I feel her protection I have made mistakes in life These crimes I cannot redeem But I have learned now from my failures And I seek the ultimate dream The time has come to pass on down The things I've learned throughout this life If we could only learn from one another We could avoid so much strife [Part IV - Night] I walk my final steps on this old and weary road I sense my journey coming to an end Soon I can put this whole life behind me And towards the heavens I shall ascend <Soprano> Come towards the light my child Rest your tired and weary feet Bask in serenity and bliss For soon we shall once again meet At last I lay down for my final rest As I prepare for my journey to the skies An angel's voice calls out to me And for one last time I close my eyes
